Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, Jeremy Piven, Paula Patton bergabung bersama Hollywood Foreign Press Association dalam mengumumkan nominasi Golden Globe Awards ke-72 hari ini. Golden Globe selalu dianggap istimewa sebab sering disebut sebagai cerminan Oscars. Penghargaan kali ini akan kembali dibawakan oleh Tina Fey dan Amy Poehler, ini adalah kali ketiga mereka menjadi host.

Untuk film layar lebar, Birdman memimpin dengan total tujuh nominasi, sedangkan Fargo mendominasi tayangan TV dengan lima nominasi. Hal unik di sini, Boyhood dan Birdman berada di nominasi Best Pictures yang berbeda sehingga konfrontasi bisa sedikit dihindari. Golden Globe Awards 2015 siap digelar dan disiarkan live pada Minggu, 11 Januari 2015 pukul 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST di NBC.
